A Sanctuary of Solitude
Escape the clamor of the world and retreat into one of Africa’s most ancient and awe-inspiring sanctuaries. Here, nature takes the role of artist, crafting the landscape with wind, water, and sun over millennia. In the face of such immense space and time, you’ll find a new perspective—a deep reverence for life’s ingenuity, from the tenacious lichen and lizard to the quiver tree and oryx, all uniquely adapted to this mineral-rich world. There’s a sense of gratitude, of having lived long enough and traveled far enough, to experience a place like Nooishof.
Private Suites & The Ouma House
With only eight guests accommodated in private suites, Nooishof offers an intimate, exclusive experience. Guests share access to the Ouma House, a spacious and well-equipped farmhouse located separately, adding a homely touch to the retreat.
A Peaceful Atmosphere
A small, professional team, including Marc, Mariza, Nakale, Aina, and Maria, with over 70 years of collective hospitality experience, is available to assist with any requests. Yet the goal is to cultivate an atmosphere of tranquility and privacy, free from the interruptions of hovering waitstaff.
Make Yourself at Home
Guests are encouraged to embrace the homely environment—help yourself to the fridge, make a cup of tea, select a book from the library, or settle into a cozy nook. Whether you’re birdwatching with binoculars or simply gazing at the ever-changing desert landscape, the beauty of Nooishof is all around you.
