Hotels Own Introduction
Hyttes in Harmony with Nature
At 48° North, rooms are replaced with hyttes—14 independent cabins scattered across the natural landscape, each designed for two to four guests. Inspired by traditional Scandinavian cabins, their architecture embraces wood, stone, and other natural materials, creating bold, clean lines in perfect harmony with their surroundings. Interiors feature elegant woodwork and Nordic minimalism, with select hyttes offering private wellness areas complete with sauna and jacuzzi, opening directly onto the scenic outdoors.
The Heart of the Experience – Felles Hytte
At the centre of the property lies the Felles Hytte, the communal house where guests gather to connect, share stories, and enjoy meals together. Here, breakfast and dinner are made entirely from local and organic ingredients—dairy from the village farm, bread from the nearby bakery, produce from the hotel’s garden, and cured meats from the valley.
Dining and Nature Combined
Meals are served in a warm, welcoming atmosphere, whether by the fire or on the terrace overlooking the forest and the beauty of Alsace. This is a place where time slows, nature surrounds, and every flavour tells a story of the land.
