A Masterpiece of Art, Nature, and Design
Estancia Vik is a stunning fusion of art, nature, and architectural excellence. Created by Carrie and Alex Vik in collaboration with Uruguayan architect Marcelo Daglio, this retreat embodies the essence of a traditional Spanish-style estancia. White adobe walls, red tin roofs, and covered walkways seamlessly connect serene courtyards and lush gardens, offering an enchanting atmosphere of tranquility and beauty.
Expansive Outdoor Spaces
The estancia’s outdoor areas are designed for both relaxation and inspiration. Spacious patios feature inviting seating areas, striking sculpture installations, and an organic herb garden. On the south side, a vast grass-covered garden leads to a 20-meter Absolute Nero stone pool, where fiber optic lights on the pool’s floor mirror the constellations above, creating a magical nighttime spectacle.
A Private Retreat in the Heart of José Ignacio
Set on 4,000 acres of rolling countryside in José Ignacio, Uruguay, Estancia Vik is perfectly positioned near the Arroyo and Laguna José Ignacio, just a mile from where the waters meet the Southern Atlantic. The estate’s private living quarters are divided into two wings, each housing six luxurious suites.
Elegantly Designed Suites with Artistic Flair
Each wing includes four 500-square-foot suites on the ground level and two 900-square-foot master suites on the second floor. The suites feature full bathrooms with separate bathtubs and rain showers, while the master suites offer additional outdoor showers with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Every suite provides private access to the exterior patios, enhancing the sense of connection with nature.
A Celebration of Uruguayan Art
All twelve suites are individually designed, integrating original artwork by leading contemporary Uruguayan artists. Each space is a unique expression of creativity, offering guests an immersive experience in art and culture while embracing the elegance and serenity of Estancia Vik.
