Fowlescombe might bill itself as a new hotel with 10 luxe suites, but first and foremost, it's a working farm.
Travel + Leisure, April 2026The idea of ‘all-inclusive’ is turned on its head at Fowlescombe Farm. Every meal is taken care of, of course, along with a daily programme of activities. But, unlike a traditional hotel, this is a place that invites guests into the rhythms of life on a working regenerative farm.

Hotels Own Introduction
A regenerative rural sanctuary
Fowlescombe Farm is a quietly luxurious retreat of just ten beautifully designed suites, set on the edge of the wilds of Dartmoor in Devon. Rooted in a 450-acre regenerative farm, every element of the experience is shaped by the land—inviting guests to slow down, reconnect with nature and rediscover a deeper sense of wellbeing.
A place shaped by land and seasons
Dining here is defined by proximity and purpose, with produce travelling only footsteps from garden and field to kitchen. Experiences unfold at the gentle pace of farm life, encouraging an easy alignment with the seasons and the raw beauty of the Devon countryside.
Suites with a sense of place
The hotel’s ten guest suites are housed within reimagined stone barns and the original Victorian farmhouse. Each space is thoughtfully crafted using local materials and understated design, creating warm, characterful interiors that feel both refined and deeply connected to their surroundings.
An all-inclusive farm table journey
All stays are full board, beginning with leisurely breakfasts, followed by lunch, 3pm cake in the Farmhouse, and unhurried dinners that stretch into the evening. A full programme of on-farm experiences is included, encouraging guests to engage with daily life on the land.
Dining led by the farm
In the Refectory, menus are dictated entirely by what the fields, woodlands and gardens provide. Executive Chef Elly Wentworth and her team work hand in hand with the farm and garden teams to deliver an authentic farm-to-fork experience—one that guests are warmly invited to be part of.
Luxury through time and connection
At Fowlescombe Farm, luxury is defined by time, connection and a spirit of gentle adventure. Every stay is bespoke, with hosts crafting personalised itineraries ahead of arrival. The aim is simple: to immerse you in farm life and lead you out into the wider, wilder landscapes beyond.
