Hotels Own Introduction
Hotel Casa Real: A Timeless Retreat on the Santa Rita Estate
Nestled within the historic Santa Rita Estate, Hotel Casa Real was once the summer residence of the winery’s founder. After a meticulous restoration, the mansion was transformed into a luxurious hotel in the mid-1990s. Set amid a sprawling 40-hectare park, designed by renowned French landscape architect Guillaume Renner, the estate is a stunning example of 19th-century classical style and stands as a national monument—the only one of its kind in Chile.
The hotel offers 16 beautifully appointed rooms, fine dining, and elegant salons, all with a focus on providing privacy and exclusivity. Adjacent to the mansion is a Neo-Gothic chapel, built in 1880 by German architect Theodor Burchard, enhancing the historical ambiance of the estate.
The Park, one of the largest and best-preserved in Central Chile, showcases a fusion of French, English, and Italian landscape styles. Visitors will find Renaissance-inspired statues such as ‘The Boy Flautists,’ ‘The Artful Boy,’ and ‘The Four Seasons,’ alongside intricate fountains and box hedge mazes. The long, scenic walks and broad lawns, reminiscent of the English garden aesthetic, offer tranquil spaces for relaxation.
The hotel has retained the traditional layout of the mansion, preserving its grand entry hall, salons, dining room, billiard room, and inner colonnade, all with original 19th-century furnishings. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home, enjoying the serene surroundings, reading in a quiet corner, or gathering with companions. For business travelers, dedicated meeting rooms are also available, blending historical charm with modern functionality.
