Monte Rosa: A Hotel with Charisma
Can a hotel truly possess charisma? Without question, the Monte Rosa does. Its foundation, dating back to 1839, whispers of the bravery of the first mountaineers, while the décor and furnishings shimmer with the elegance of the belle époque. Each time a door opens, you're transported to another era—a magical moment connecting past and present. But quickly, you're drawn back to the comforts of today, with countless pleasures waiting to be discovered.
A Legacy of Two Eras
The Monte Rosa is shaped by two defining periods. It began in the pioneering days when Alexander Seiler took over a humble wooden chalet in 1853. As a favorite among climbers, the hotel soon became the birthplace of the golden age of Alpinism.
