Hotels Own Introduction
Great hotels are more than just places to sleep — they’re the backdrop to unexpected adventures, moments of discovery, and stories worth retelling.
Once upon a time on James Street...
It’s the breeze from my balcony that fills my dreams with tropical lanais, though no hammock I’ve ever seen had this thread count. The plan for a morning run? Fading fast. The pool’s quiet call is louder, more persuasive. Can I say I did laps if I simply glided through the water, eyes fixed on the palms and sky? A poolside platter of fruit begins the day with just the right amount of virtue.
But this place offers more than just the pool’s allure. My wandering takes me to an amphitheatre, a grand room, intimate spaces for private dining, and the library — perfect for lingering, working, or simply exhaling. It’s a space where stories pause, pivot, or unfold in new directions. No rush here. The next decision is simple: gym first, then the day spa. A little burn, then the reward.
Where were we?
My massage floated me to a cloud, which morphed into a cabana and a poolside cocktail. Am I dreaming? Perhaps. But don’t pinch me — not yet. Not until I follow the breeze down the staircase to the boutiques waiting beneath the white-brick archways.
As night falls, Hellenika takes center stage, celebrating fresh produce with flavours that transport me far from here. Yamas — cheers to that. The Lobby Bar beckons for a nightcap, drawing in a mix of regulars, travellers, and familiar faces (though it’s impolite to stare). New chapters are ready to begin.
