More than 60 years after the last nun departed from the early 17th-century Convent of the Visitation Sainte-Claire in Nice's historic center, this summer, the convent has been transformed into the 88-room Hôtel du Couvent, the latest creation by maverick hotelier Valéry Grégo, renowned for Le Pigalle in Paris and Les Roches Rouges in Saint-Raphaël.
