Volcanoes Safaris proudly unveils Kibale Lodge, its newest chimpanzee-focused property in Uganda. Perched on a ridge with panoramic views of the Rwenzori Mountains, Queen Elizabeth plains, and the Kazinga Channel, the lodge offers a spectacular base for exploring one of Africa’s most biodiverse regions.
Distinctive Handcrafted Design
Built in Volcanoes Safaris’ signature handmade style, Kibale Lodge features eight individually designed bandas (six deluxe and two standard), crafted by a skilled in-house team of artisans from across the Great Lakes region. Four bandas are currently open, with the remaining four set for completion by the end of the year.
A Sanctuary of Comfort and Wellbeing
Spread across a scenic 150-acre site near Fort Portal — famed for its rolling hills and pleasant climate — Kibale Lodge offers more than a place to stay. The wellness centre includes two double massage rooms, a sauna, and a swimming pool (opening by 1 September). All massages are complimentary and available by appointment.
