This grande dame of Israeli luxury hotels opened in 1931 and it has successfully defended its title ever since... Shaded by palm trees, the landscaped pool area and tennis courts are the most beautiful in Jerusalem.
Fodor's , January 1970Built in 1930 during the British Mandate, the King David has outlasted the British Empire and continues to sail on, refined and majestic. Its Egyptian-esque Art Deco lobby still draws gawkers, as does its lushly gardened pool area.
