Hotels Own Introduction
Welcome to The Henson—and to the heart of the Catskills.
We’re truly glad you’re here. There’s something quietly extraordinary about this part of the world. It’s unpretentious, rugged, and breathtakingly beautiful. For centuries, it’s drawn explorers, settlers, farmers, anglers, and dreamers—each encountering its unique challenges: hills too steep to tame, ground too rocky to farm, people too sharp to fool, mountains too vast to conquer.
And yet, some arrived and recognized something more. They saw possibility. They stayed, built lives, carved out meaning, and grew roots. We’re proud to count ourselves among them.
You’ve come searching too—whether you realize it or not.
The Catskills have a way of whispering to the soul. The air carries echoes of an earlier time. The clouds move with intention, the rain feels personal, the snow falls like memory. It’s both foreign and familiar. In summer, there’s hiking; in winter, skiing. Year-round, the mountain air is crisp and the night sky is deep and full of stars.
This is an inn—and it can be just that.
Comfy beds, hot showers, great food, and warm service. A place to unwind and recharge. But if you let go—really let go—you might find something more here. There’s an energy woven into these walls, shaped by care, thought, and love. If you allow it, The Henson will feel less like a place you visited and more like a place you belonged.
Welcome. We're so glad you're here.
