With comfortable yet polished rooms, an excellent spa, and a clutch of bars and restaurants serving excellent riffs on traditional dishes and drinks, this is Cancun like you’ve never seen it.

The down sides of Cancún — in short, that it’s crowded, tacky, and overbuilt — don’t seem to apply when you’re within the expansive perimeter of this luxe 173-room resort. It’s relatively secluded, sharing a substantial parcel of land with the nearby Hilton Cancun, and it’s nothing if not tasteful.
