Escape the buzz of the streets in the beautiful tucked-away English-style garden courtyard. The 13,000-square-foot green oasis — the largest palace garden in Paris — features flowers and blossoming orange trees.
Don’t miss the trompe l’oeil–decorated swimming pool on the sixth floor, and make sure to pause to pet Socrate, Le Bristol’s most important permanent resident: its in-house cat.
Like a frosted cake, Le Bristol is creamy Art Deco on the outside, and decadent 18th-century within. It’s particularly fine in spring, when the window boxes of geraniums are in bloom and the large garden is redolent with the smell of magnolia. The pool is one of the few in Paris, and though small, it is beautiful, enclosed in glass and bathed in Parisian sunlight.
From quiet morning coffees in the garden to unforgettable Michelin-starred meals, a stay at Le Bristol is as much a part of the Paris experience as the city itself.
Typifying Parisian elegance, the suites at Le Bristol Paris are generous in both size and opulence... Each of these 18th-century townhouse apartments overlooks the hotels sprawling garden or the flower-filled interior courtyard.
The historic Bristol ranks among Paris's most exclusive hotels and has numerous accolades to prove it... The public salons are stocked with old-master paintings and sculptures, sumptuous Oriental carpets and tapestries, gilded chandeliers, and fine antiques.

Since opening on the Kowloon waterfront in 1928, The Pen (as it is affectionately known) has been beloved by both visitors and the people of Hong Kong. And it’s still the place to be—ot just for the sense of history, but because it is simply fabulous.
Despite its size – 300 rooms, plus the constant stream of glamorous locals who flock to the slick bars and Michelin-starred restaurants – staff will remember your name.
The 12,000-square-foot Peninsula Spa is an indisputable star and a sanctuary of serenity in buzzing Hong Kong. The relaxing heat facilities are reason enough to visit— try the dry sauna overlooking Victoria Harbour and the crystal steam room.
The mothership of all The Peninsula Hotels worldwide, we expected The Peninsula Hong Kong to be the most indulgent, lavish and spectacular of all their luxury properties across the world – and we weren’t disappointed! Based on the most prime piece of real estate in Kowloon, facing Hong kong harbour, this is the very best in far eastern luxury hospitality, personified.
The Pen, established in 1928, is the Grand Old Lady of Hong Kong hotels. Tourists love to take photos of her colonial façade (a tower, plus helipad, was added in 1994) and Rolls-Royces, in Peninsula-green, lined up outside. Like Hong Kong, she's a first-class survivor.

Back in the 1920s, this leafy stretch of the Waikoto River, downwind of the thundering sky-blue waters of Huka Falls, was a simple fishing camp. Over the following century, however, it would become the blueprint for every luxury lodge in New Zealand.
This grande dame of the country’s luxury lodges and longtime magnet for royalty and rockstars needed, at 101 years of age, a serious refresh. One year later, it is done: The 20 suites now have floor-to ceiling windows to make the most of their gorgeous setting on the Waikato River, and there’s a proper spa, but we applaud the “don’t mess with perfection” motto.

After Morocco’s devastating September 2023 earthquake, the epicenter of which was nearby, the hotel embarked on a remarkable restoration and reopened this past October, introducing six new three-bedroom riads, a restaurant (Asayss), and a kids club, in addition to the previous 15 bedrooms in the main kasbah, 10 luxury tents, and a trio of superior suites.

The historic suites, named after famous former guests, including Charlie Chaplin and novelist Graham Greene, exude a sense of old-world grandeur, while its peaceful French Quarter locale makes it a no-brainer when planning a trip to Hanoi.
Not every hotel can get away with using the word “legend,” but there’s nothing else quite like the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. There are other luxury hotels that retain their 1901-vintage façades, but few so effectively convey the sense of traveling through time.
A classic Asian colonial-era hotel in the same league as the Peninsula in Hong Kong and Singapore's Raffles Hotel, the Metropole is Hanoi's most storied accommodation.
This is one of the old colonial hotels of south-east Asia. Far from resting on its laurels, it has managed both to move with the times and retain its grandeur, combining modernity with old-school glamour.
It captures old-world colonial charm. A fixture in the heart of Hanoi since 1901, this hotel near the Opera House has played host to playwrights, ambassadors, and heads of state. It's a peaceful refuge in a loud city.
Since 1901, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has stood as a cherished landmark in the Old Quarter. Our storied building blends French colonial charm with neoclassical elegance, all while upholding modern environmental standards.
Timeless Elegance & Contemporary Comfort
Effortlessly combining period character with modern luxury, our elegant rooms and suites feature advanced technology, lavish bathrooms, and signature Sofitel MyBeds. Unwind amid Indochinese décor in the historic Heritage Wing or embrace neoclassical opulence in the Opera Wing. Culinary Excellence & Inspired Dining
Indulge in world-class cuisine with a selection of exquisite dining experiences. Enjoy French haute cuisine at Le Beaulieu, creative Vietnamese flavors at Spice Garden, or comforting classics at angelina. Le Club Bar offers all-day dining, while La Terrasse invites you to savor coffee in a Parisian-style setting, and Bamboo Bar serves poolside refreshments.
Relaxation & Rejuvenation
Le Spa du Metropole is a sanctuary of wellness, combining ancient Eastern rituals with contemporary Western therapies. Experience ultimate relaxation in an intimate setting designed for holistic well-being.

Opened in 1997 and rebuilt in 2024 by the esteemed Fox Browne team, with architect Jack Alexander, the diminutive 12-banda resort is lovelier than ever.
The luxury in this context feels decadent, as does the privacy - the only visitors are the delicately boned suni antelopes and, at sundown, a barefoot butler who brings cocktails and lanterns to light the walkway. This island is one powerful aphrodisiac.

A Victorian Masterpiece Reimagined Set in pastoral landscapes beneath the sculpted cone of an ancient volcano, Otahuna Lodge is a captivating Victorian mansion infused with a sense of wonder and discovery. As New Zealand’s largest private historic residence, it has been thoughtfully revitalised for the present day—an elegant world of exquisite suites, glorious gardens, and elevated cuisine.
A Noble Past, A Modern Chapter Otahuna’s story began as the most extravagant wedding gift the country had ever seen and unfolded through decades of grandeur and indulgence. Today, the lodge enters a new chapter—every bit as magnificent as in 1895—where historic provenance meets modern refinement, and the narrative continues to be written with care and imagination.
Suites with a Soul Each of the seven suites tells its own tale. Ornate fireplaces, rich fabrics, and impeccable craftsmanship meet contemporary comfort in serene, deeply personal spaces. From sweeping estate views to the smallest thoughtfully designed detail, every corner invites you to feel at home.
Dinner at Otahuna Dinner at Otahuna is a culinary ritual unlike any other: a four-course feast served privately in your own secluded setting. From the outside it still looks very much like a motel, so it's all the more surprising to discover the interior design combines classy Palm Beach with the swagger of an upcycled surf shack... This is a great place to hole up for a weekend but the restaurant alone is worth the trip; come for lunch and stay through to supper.
This joyful addition to Cabarita Beach, a few miles north of Byron Bay, is the very best of Aussie beach life. It is playful and beautiful, a clever reimagining of a Sixties oceanside motel.
